The Department of Critical Care and Emergency Medicine at Srikara Hospitals offers round the clock service to patients in life threatening conditions and in need of life support systems. All the Intensive Care Units in the hospital are manned by dedicated nurses, 24/7.
CRITICAL CARE - MICU
Medical Intensive care unit is 15 bedded facility which is fully equipped with latest Invasive and Noninvasive monitoring equipment. We have best in class touch screen ventilators with all mode of ventilation, and we have a dialysis machine. We also have on site ABG machine for urgent results and treatment of patients.
We have full time senior intensivist of vast experience and round the clock intensivist on site. All the procedures such as central line, pleural tapping are done under USG guidance for better precision and reduction in complications
We have dedicated critical care nurses for critically ill patients. We maintain the patient nurses’ ratio as per international standards. Our MICU is equipped with CC TV cameras which can be monitored by consultants anywhere through internet.
INTERNAL MEDICINE:
The outpatient department is run by our senior consultants from 10am to 5pm.
They take care of all difficult to diagnose cases. Routinely they take care for all infections, hypertension, Diabetes, thyroid, obesity and other metabolic diseases. We also have Executive Health Checkup especially designed for all age groups . This is the back bone of our department.
PULMONOLOGY:
Patients with Pneumonia, ARDS, Asthma and COPD are the most common admissions in our department. Our team has vast experience of treating H1N1 (swine flu) associates ARDS. We have facilities for flexible and rigid Bronchoscopy.
